Hi my name is April. I have been out of prison for 13 months now and I have been clean and sober for two years also. I have been blessed with help by the state with my rent for the last two years. Recently I have been struggling the last two months to pay my rent. This month I.was.unable.to.get help.with my rent. I also could really use help with getting a car so I can actually start working. I have a health issue with my knees which has really been hard for me to find work. I do have my peer support license which I.worked.hard to get and recently just got my certified recovery mentor.license now that I have two years clean and sober. I don't really have anybody who can really help me. My mom is on a fixed income. If she could help me she would, but it's hard for her sometimes to make ends meet. I feel that if I could just get a vehicle and help with my rent I could get back on my feet and be able to do my job of being a.mentor and helping those whom I can relate to. I live in a clean and sober house, and I go.to church twice a.week. i.am stepping into my calling this year and would love to minister to women.in prison when I am able to go back next year. I would really appreciate anybody who can help me be a working citizen back in the community.
